Why is the garage, the most modern addition to the home (and now the most integral), almost always placed as an appendage? What of the classical symmetry, the temple-house motif? Considering these themes, this is a quick sketch I made while serving my civic duty.

I think this is an interesting idea. There is such a culture of car worship, but no one (that I've seen) has thought to integrate it into the structure of the house. I am having fun fantasizing about the interior of this house. Maybe the cars are parked on velvet, and the walls of the garage space are glass so that your Ferrari serves as a living room sculpture when you're not driving it.
exactly. idolize that shit.
even though it is shit.
The sketch looks bizarre because the concept is bizarre. Houses in California are alot like this, though. The front view of Julie's house is about 60% garage.
